I always enjoy Chimi’s. Casual atmosphere, delicious food. The portions are huge and nothing is overly expensive like other restaurants. If you don’t care about a fancy atmosphere, skip the lines at the other places on cherry street and get some great Tex mex here. The original queso is my favorite as well as the wet burrito and sour cream enchiladas. Chips and salsa are complimentary with your meal.

Chimi’s on Cherry Street is great!! We can here on Saint Patrick’s day and the city was insane busy!! Chimi’s was beyond busy as well! We waited for about an hour for a table and then released they made a mistake on the wait list and we weren’t on it. We had a couple beers at the bar and everyone was super great over there. We ended up grab too close tables and then Ashley (Manager I think?) She waited on us and she was absolutely perfect! She was the champion of the night! Took a potential bad situation and quickly made it a great one for us! The food was so dang good too!! Live their salsa too!! Thanks Ashley!! You are the best!!!

I thoroughly enjoyed my visit to the Cherry Street location! The moment I arrived, I was promptly seated and treated with utmost kindness by the server and bartender. They made sure we were delighted with every dish we ordered. The queso was a standout, bursting with flavor and proving to be one of the best quesos for its kind. The margarita I had was a house specialty, packed with a delightful kick and free from tasting like premix like I’ve encountered in other establishments. They offer all-day house margaritas for 5 on Mondays and happy hour from 3 to 6 p.m. Monday through Friday. The ambiance of the restaurant was a gem, adding to the overall experience of being in the heart of Cherry Street. For my entree, I opted for the pollo con chorizo, which was an absolute delight. The flavors were bursting, and the dish was cooked to perfection. I highly recommend stopping by this establishment and taking advantage of their drink time specials. During Saturday games, they offer 4 beers, making it an ideal spot to enjoy a refreshing beverage while catching a basketball game.

From the moment we walked in we felt welcomed. Extremely kind and helpful staff. Our food was delicious, salsa and queso were wonderful. Can't say enough good things about this place!! Look forward to coming back!

Best tortilla soup of any Mexican restaurant even the high end ones. It's the real broth soup. Great servers, and I love that they have breakfast now at least on the weekends!

Chimis just always cures that Mexican food craving. So consistent, and delicious! The guest service is spectacular. Our waitress was so kind and honestly the best waitress we've ever had! Chips and salsa where very fresh! 5 dollar margaritas happy hour and 3 dollar beers. I have pictured my grilled shrimp chili relleno with Ranchero with Mexican rice and borracho beans. Also a frozen margarita.

This was our first visit. The waiter made suggestions for the food as far as portion sizes, spiciness and what he liked about the different menu items. The waiter came back to make sure everything was good and to see if there was anything we needed.

Awesome Staff, Food, Atmosphere, & Service! Two of the Managers, Ashley & Mr. Aidan, are incredible; along with the Wait-Staff and Bartenders! THANK YOU! We ordered food for our wedding & it was fabulous! Everyone was pleased! THANK YOU!!!
